GreenLies
Scan the green with your iPhone's LiDAR. GreenLies traces the line and tells you where to aim and how hard. Every putt you log teaches it your greens.
In development · iPhone and iPad with LiDAR · iOS 17.5 and later
12.4 ft putt · plays like 13.1 ft
1.4 cups · 1.6 in uphill · 2.1% side slope
How it works
Point the camera at your ball on the green and tap it.
Walk to the cup along the putt. LiDAR maps the green as you go. Tap the cup.
GreenLies rolls a ball across the scan until it finds the line that drops. You get the aim, the pace and the path.
The read
The card leads with the call: aim 6 inches right, or aim at the cup. Under it sit the putt length, what it plays like, the break in cups, the rise or fall and the side slope.
If the scan is thin, it says so. Walk the line again and the read sharpens on the spot, because it rebuilds every second while you look at it.

Four views
Switch views from the chip under the card. The read stays the same; only what's drawn on the green changes.
Line, slope and every number.

Only where to aim.
The read, nothing on the green.
Slope grid
A grid drapes over the scanned green, every 6 inches by default, with an arrow at each crossing pointing straight downhill. The color tells you how steep it is.
It learns your greens
Start with how today's greens feel. Log where a miss stopped and GreenLies works out the green speed and break strength that would have put it there. Recent putts count most, so it keeps up with the course you're playing.
Then it gets straight back to work. The ball moves to where it stopped and the read for your next putt is ready.
Everyone's ball
Add your playing partners' balls, each in its own color. Every ball gets its own path and aim spot, and a chip with its aim at a glance. Pick any color for yours with the color wheel.
