Common questions

The alarm didn't ring

Alarmed needs permission to schedule alarms. Check the iOS Settings app under Alarmed and make sure Alarms is on. It also needs iOS 26 or later. Silent mode and Focus do not stop it.

How do I turn the alarm off?

Tap Take photo on the alarm and photograph what it asks for. Sliding to stop only silences that ring. Another one comes a few minutes later until a photo passes.

It won't accept my photo

Turn a light on, fill the frame with the object and hold still. The wake-up screen tells you what it saw instead, which usually shows the problem. If you don't have the object nearby, tap Don't have that? Swap. You get two swaps each morning.

My spot keeps failing

Stand where you stood when you took the setup photos, with similar lighting. Each attempt shows a score. If the right spot keeps failing, move My spot matching in Settings toward Easy. If any photo passes, move it toward Strict.

Some objects aren't in our house

Open Settings and switch off anything under Things in our house that you don't have. Find an object only picks from what is on.

Can a parent end an alarm?

Yes. Set a parent code in Settings and a Parent button appears on the wake-up screen. Changing or removing the code needs the current code.

How does the streak work?

Every morning you beat the alarm adds a day. A morning the alarm wins resets it. Days with no alarm set don't count either way. Test alarms never count.

How do I try it without waiting until morning?

Settings has Ring a test alarm in 30 seconds. Lock the screen and let it ring.

What does it need to run?

iOS 26 or later, on iPhone or iPad, with a camera.
